详细介绍

Following his 2008 exile from rear house, Christ of Smoke was born again as Little Gold. He shat out his first masterpiece "On the Knife" in early 2009 and then did a bunch of touring. Christ grew weary of singing sad, lonesome country tunes all the time, and began instead writing sad pop songs, like his heroes Big Star, The 'Mats, Teenage Fanclub, et al. He picked up the "Sick Hick" rhythm section of Country Ham and Primitive Man at a petting zoo outside Danville, VA. The reformed Little Gold returned to New York and, armed with a new batch of guaranteed pop hits, began slaying audiences at venerable Brooklyn venues such as Bruar Falls, Glasslands, Death By Audio, and Bill's roof.

The first piece of wax from this lineup was the "Completely Fucked! b/w Chainsaw" 7", and it fucking ruled real hard. Little Gold acquired more fans, and grew more powerful. In the fall of 2010 Primitive Man, Country Ham, and Christ of Smoke - now simply known as Smokey - embarked on a self-booked tour of the U.S., then did it all over again in Europe with the help of Sons of Vesta, Adagio 830, and Holidays Records. It's true what they say, Italian dudes are just much, much better than American dudes. In every way. I mean, they're funnier, they kick our asses at foosball, and they are about the sweetest, most generous people on the planet. The sooner you learn to deal with this, the sooner you can move on and have fun.

Anyway, Europe ruled and then the boys came home to the beginning of what would be a grueling New York city winter. Perfect time to record a new album. And they did. And it was good. And that record is called "Weird Freedom." Coming summer 2011 on LOUD BABY.
