Often chastised for naming their band after what some consider the worst Judas Priest song in history, Youngstown, Ohio's Turbo Lovers are a three-piece rock 'n' roll party that's equal parts bravado, swagger and fun.
The band has taken on many incarnations in its 10-year history, but the band's current lineup of singer/guitarist B.J. Lisko, bassist Keith Colclough, and drummer Christian DeSantis is the longest running and most stable.
The band has been featured in Europe's biggest selling rock 'n' roll publication, Classic Rock Magazine, on five separate occasions. Three times the band's full-length efforts have been reviewed garnering 7/10 ratings for all three. Twice the band has had a track included on the CD compilation that comes with each issue. The first was "Livin' In Hell" in 2010 in the magazines 150th issue. Most recently the band's track "Typhoon Killer" was featured in an issue highly dedicated to AC/DC.
The group plays regionally in the Ohio area, has shared the stage with the likes of Electric Frankenstein, Foxy Shazam, The Queers, The Hookers, Kevin DuBrow, The Cheats, Boss Mustangs, Malt Liquor, Whiskey Daredevils, Cadaver Dogs and countless other rock 'n' roll sleazebags from all over the United States.
In reviews Turbo Lovers have been compared to AC/DC, Guns 'N' Roses, Supersuckers, Y&T, Danko Jones, Husker Du, Eddie Money, Judas Priest and Huey Lewis and the News among others.
The band's latest album is "Hopelessly Addicted" and is available on iTunes and everywhere music is sold via the internet.
