At the age of six Becca got her first keyboard. She wasn’t interested in learning notes, she learned to play by ear. She wrote her first song when she was seven. Right from the start she had a special connection to music, she knew that this was what she wanted to do, always. She started to sing and preform in her school, for friends and family. Becca took every chance she could to be heard and seen.

When Becca turned 13 she got a portable studio of her parents and could, with help of the microphone and keyboard, record songs that she composed both music and lyrics to. When the first song was recorded she played it in school for her class mates and teachers, they showed such appreciation of her songs that that gave her the motivation and courage to continue. Becca knew that this is what she wanted to devote her life to.

Becca studied music at Stockholms Estetiska gymnasium, a music gymnasium, where she, among other things, learnt a lot about audio technology and music production in a studio. She had lessons with vocal coaches where she learnt to use her voice. A new world opened and she could now begin use her voice and music writing on new levels. She spent a lot of time in the schools studio.

Becca wrote many songs and was constantly singing. Since this was a school, many students wanted to be in the studio, she couldn’t bee in there as much as she liked, so instead of having to wait for studiotime she got, on her 16th birthday, a Macintosh and Pro Logic so that she could work with the music as much as she liked at home.

2009 she got a three week internship in a studio and got in touch with her present producer, Niclas. He had recently bought new microphones to his studio and they needed testing. He asked Becca to sing and loved her voice and this is where their cooperation started. He learnt her a lot and stood by her side since day one. Becca and Niclas have been writing songs both to her and other artists. They still work together.

Beccas Inspiration comes, among others, from Rihanna and Beyoncé. The meaning behind her songs lies in between the lines. She wants that everyone can relate to her music in their own way.
