In the words of the song he performs on the ‘Unclubbed’ album, ‘You don’t know me’ or maybe you do?? Either way lets give this man a formal introduction. I give you Oxford’s very own Soul House maestro Lewis Cutler. Lewis is no newcomer to the stage, relentlessly performing across the country on many club and soul nights. He has also performed at Glastonbury music festival twice. In 2007 he made his debut appearance at Glastonbury on the 'Roots Stage' with 'Catch 22'; last year he returned to perform in the dance village again and also on the ‘BBC Introducing stage’ with ‘Engine Earz’ who are making some big waves on the dubstep scene. Although Lewis’s roots have been predominantly with urban and soul music he has now moved into the house music scene with good effect. Lewis has recently collaborated with Producer Danny Dove for their latest release ‘One Life’, signed to Glamrox Recordings. This track has had great reviews and support from both radio and club DJs with big remixes from funky house producer eSquire and also Alex Miles and is taking the dance floors by storm. Lewis is no stranger to writing for other artists and is also part of the Bigger Picture writing team with Mark Hoey and Abigail Bailey, who are responsible for such hits as ‘Changes’ by Chris Lake and ‘Something on your mind’ by NYC Project. His soulful version of Armand Van Helden's 'You don't know me', has proven to be a great success on the ‘Unclubbed’ album and has gained massive radio support from none other than the legendary Trevor Nelson!! ..
