Shimmering synths, euphoric beats, perfect summer harmonies: it has to be Tim & Jean, whose pristine synth-pop anthems ‘Come around”, “I Can Show You” and “Veronika” were unearthed and championed by Triple J and were big draws at Splendour in the grass, Falls and many other festivals around the country.
What started out as two friends jamming in a bedroom has been transformed into a full, four-piece outfit with a new name – The Lazy Calm. The name comes from one of the band’s favourite Cocteau Twins songs. Change is good for the soul – and 2013 will unleash a whole new chapter for these guys with their new single “Where Are You Going Now”.
