Alchemist (along with Armoured Angel) are also responsible for creating Australia's annual metal event called "Metal for the Brain". Guitarist Roy Torkington is a graphic designer and has done pieces for Alchemist as well as Pod People and others. After the band split up, Adam Agius formed a new band called The Levitation Hex as a kind of successor band.
