Michael Schuppach grew up in Munich in a musical family. [2] In the second half of the 1990s he was a break dancer and belonged to the Munich Department Step 2 Diz on. There he was discovered by a label scout for singing and 2001, he signed his first solo contract. Three years later he published at Sony Music under the name "Mic" his first album titled Still Waters. With the song Someone he was ranked 89 in the German charts. He accompanied stars such as Carlos Santana, Stevie Wonder, Keith Tynes, Aloe Blacc and Erykah Badu as the opening act and background on their tours. During a six-month stay in the U.S. he was elected in 2006 at a competition in Las Vegas for the International Act of the Year. [3]

After his return to Germany he decided to go in a new direction. He separated from Sony Music and began working on an album with songs in English. [4] In addition, he changed his stage name to "Mic Donet", derived from the Latin Donatus in allusion to him down in the cradle singing talent.
