FM Belfast is an electro/electronica band from Reykjavík, Iceland. Its members include Lóa Hlín Hjálmtsdóttir, rni Rúnar Hlversson, rni Vilhjálmsson and rvar óreyjarson Smárason.

FM Belfast formed in late 2005 as a duo with rni Rúnar Hlversson (Plúseinn) and Lóa Hlín Hjálmtsdóttir. The band was a studio project for some time until the Iceland Airwaves festival 2006 when the band expanded into a full-on live act. The members now vary from 3 to 8 depending on who can make it. The core of the band is made up of rni Rúnar Hlversson (Plúseinn, Hairdoctor, Motion Boys), rni Vilhjálmsson (Motherfuckers in the house) and Lóa Hlín Hjálmtsdóttir. When the stars are aligned correctly the band consists of rvar óreyjarson Smárason (múm, Borko, Skakkamanage), Sveinbjorn Hermann Pálsson (Terrordisco) , Bjrn Kristjánsson (Borko, Skakkamanage), Birgitta Birgisdóttir, Eiríkur Orri (múm, Kira Kira, Benni Hemm Hemm)

The band began in 2005 with just Lóa and rni Rúnar Hlversson but didn't really get going properly until rni Vilhjálmsson and rvar óreyjarson Smárason joined. In 2006 the group progressed from being a studio project to a full live act, performing at the Iceland Airwaves festival.

The bands live show often features many percussionists, among them are Sveinbjrn Pálsson, Bjrn Kristjánsson (Borko), Halli Civelek, Svanhvít Tryggvadóttir, Unnsteinn Manuel Stefánsson (Retro Stefson) and órur jrundsson (Retro Stefson).

Their first album was recorded in New York and Iceland, with the group recording, mixing, and mastering it, and creating the album artwork themselves.
