If there is a place, at this time, it seems the focus of hip hop "raw" array of New York, that's Hempstead, Long Island. Here it is coming from much of the music that we like best, a mixture of vibrations "film" and rapping indolent that symbolizes what the underground (if it still makes sense to use a term like that) should aspire to be, especially at a time in which the lyrical complexity seems to give way to different choices, at least on a mass level. Hempstead Smoovth arrives, a young MC who came to prominence during last year for its affiliation to Hus Kingpin, one of our favorites for a while .
