Born Peter Pangerl in Linz on February 22, 1981, he first surfaced alongside DJ Stickle and MC J in Verbale Systematik. although the group proved short-lived, Chakuza and DJ Stickle quickly reunited as the production duo Beatlefield, and their behind-the-scenes efforts soon captured the attention of German hip-hop superstar Bushido, who signed them to his ersguterjunge label. After the 2006 mix Bushido Presents ersguterjunge Sampler, Vol.1 -- Nemesis cracked the German Top Five, Chakuza launched his solo career, recording Blackout in collaboration with fellow rapper Bizzy Montana. His 2007 full-length solo debut, City Cobra, peaked at number ten, buoyed by the crossover hit single "Eure Kinder," featuring -- who else? -- Bushido.
