Calan Mai’ is the stage name of Gold Coast singer/songwriter Jordan Lawrence. At fifteen years of age he won the 2006 Australasian Children’s Songwriting Competition for his track entitled ‘Before I Depart' and has since been writing, performing and recording.

As a folk singer, Lawrence's primary focus is lyrics – often retrospective, grounded in past events, while showcasing a maturity beyond his years. Having only previously uploaded live videos online, Lawrence will finally release his debut single 'We've Got Love' in early 2014, from his five track EP 'Days On The Rock Face', produced & mixed by Adam Lyons.

Along the way he has supported Patrick James, Cory Branan, FAIRCHILD, Ashleigh Mannix, Lyon Apprentice and Playwrite while also performing at Bleach Festival and Oneway Street Party. His influences include Conor Oberst, Sam Beam, Bob Dylan, Justin Vernon and Adam Duritz.
