> AN UNPARALELLED PERSPECTIVE OF HIP HOP AND NEW YORK CITY LIFE. A RAP ARTIST OF A COMPLETELY AUTHENTIC BACKGROUND, STARVIN B STANDS AS AN INDIVIDUAL. WRITING LYRICS FOR EVERY SITUATION IN HIS PERSONAL KALEIDOSCOPE. B HAS MOVED THOUSANDS OF MIXTAPES ON THE EASTCOAST AND INTERNATIONALLY. HE CURRENTLY HAS A STREET ALBUM,"4am International Dopeness"AVAILABLE ON ITUNES WITH A ROSTER OF TALENTED UNDERGROUND PRODUCERS INVOLVED.

Starvin B is on some of that gritty, grimy NYC rap where they don’t stop for a chorus, there is no auto-tune and no holds are barred as verse after verse is spit. Check out Starvin B’s new video for his track ‘MTA’ below.

Starvin' B is the rap-artist this generation has been waiting for! With intellect, humor, epiphany and poetic righteousness, Starvin' B's got rhymes for all reasons. "Treat the Game" brings to life the aspirations of a yearning artist through the eyes of a lover determined to fulfil his passion. Other tracks on "The Stash" include "Dope Fiend's Dream", "What's Ya Life About" and "Digital Jungle", all songs which offer some food for thought. It's time!

Wow I thought hip hop was dead, guess I was wrong. If you're tired of everything that's wrong with hip hop today pick this up!
Real Hip Hop

Starvin B reps Queens, NY, which is my birthplace, and the hometown of legends like Mobb Deep (of course), Phife, QTip, Lost Boyz, even RunDMC (no wonder why hip hop is in my DNA). But for this project, Starvin B decided to link up with the VA757 production team JMproductions. Now if you're familiar with the sound of JMproductions, this collabo is not shocking to you, and it's actually a collabo that was meant to be and should have been done a long time ago.

So you have Starvin B with has a raw voice and his battle rap style, mix that with the hard hitting, nopussyass drums method of JM Productions and you get The Food Chain. It starts with Just a Dream and that track sets the tone . It's hard to pick favs on this one. Mainly because I'm just feeling the whole vibe of it, like one continuous story, each track being a chapter. Actually, it's more like Starvin B woke up in his 1 bedroom NY apartment, threw on an egg shell thermal shirt, with some baggy jeans, Tims, and a bubble goose, brushes his teeth, grabs a duffel bag, and bounces. It's a sunny day in the late fall, and he's walking down Jamaica Ave, headed somewhere. Each track is like he's handling some biz, chopping it with his goons, or participating in some random street battle. Maybe it's his last day on the block because the last song is named Headed to Mexico. lol. Whatever the case, it's a day on the Ave.

So I highly suggest you all cop this. Especially if you're like me and crave the days when Queens ruled the radio.

There is a Deluxe version of this herehttp://starvinb.bandcamp.com/album/the-food-chain. It features a couple of more tracks produced by JMproductions along with some others. With the deluxe version you get a total of 20 tracks. There are some additional bangers like Atomic, Yesterday, and Dum High. The songs from the EP are in a different order, so the deluxe version doesn't quite flow like the EP does. And 20 tracks is a lot, so I was good with the EP for now. I will, more than likely, go back and DL the rest, cause I'm lovin the rawness Starvin B is bringing to the game.
