Amelia B. Jones born November 19,1991, to Sandra and Joseph Jones, professionally known as Meme Jones, is an inspiring singer and songwriter. Born and raised in Rochester, NY. Meme grasped the love of music and started singing and performing at the young tender age of five. While being born into a musical family, Meme knew very young that becoming a singer was her destiny. While growing up in the church Meme expanded her musical gifts by tapping into other aspects such as songwriting, playing the drums, and piano. But it was always something about singing that kept Meme striving to pursue her dream to become an entertainer. Meme continued to train herself in singing by attending Eastman School of Music and became a frequent participant in talent shows, contest, church function and many local programs which lead her to sing at the Mayor’s house in Albany and sang the national anthem banner in the Rochester area.
At the age of 16, Meme with continued success moved to Huntsville, AL where she is now residing. In 2009 after graduation high school, Meme began to expand her songwriting and started to record her first project “Jus a love journey” which is not yet released. Meme has made appearance in numerous talent shows, sang with the A&M gospel choir, open mics and programs in the Huntsville and Decatur areas. In 2010 she was the featured guest for the RADAR magazine futuristic fashion she also appeared in Huntsville Battle of the Bands where she performed an original song “Did what I had to do” and the national anthem. In 2011 she had the opportunity to openup for rapper King South where she did “Never fall in love again” an original song. Meme’s soulful voice is not only a gifted from God just for her but is a gift that she wants the world to hear. She is most influenced by artist such as Aretha Franklin, Pattie Labelle, Whitney Houston Mary J. Blidge, and Betty Wright just to name a few…Meme chose to live her life by her motto “ What God has for Me it is for Me”
