Cane is the name, an up and coming artist out of the DMV region, who has been building his brand since 2009. With a unique background as a collegiate athlete, his football career at the prestigious Virginia Military Institute sets him apart from most. While attending VMI, Cane began his music career and upon graduation, released his first mixtapes, and began performing throughout the DMV. In 2010 Cane partnered up with longtime collaborator Lou Burna to release his first official album, 'My Universe. After the release of his first album, Cane was invited to open for The Cool Kids at Shenandoah University, and also received radio play for his single "I Do Work." Cane also performed at Richmond, VA's 106.5 the Beat Block Party, opening for Ray-J, Mario, Estelle, and Ace Hood. In 2012 Cane partnered with DMV sneaker store Sports Zone for the release of his sophomore album Destruction, which was sponsored by KevinNottingham.com. Cane went on to headline the 2013 DMV Live at the Grill Again tour, performing alongside the legendary Camp Lo. In the summer of 2013 Cane released Lucid Dreams, which was well received by notable publications such as The Source, DJBooth, Washington City Paper, etc.
Before its cancellation, Cane was voted to perform at Rock The Bells DC after winning WKYS' Who's Got Next competition. Cane ended 2013 strong, opening for Chris Webby and headlining DC's Rock & Roll Hotel.
