Native Chicagoan, Michael S. is bringing a whole new meaning to the musical term diverse. Bridging the gap between pop and dance music, Michael’s passion in the studio and on the stage has gotten him a lot of attention from some of the industry’s biggest acts. The singer/songwriter has been supported by some of the world’s biggest DJ’s including Paul Oakenfold, Fedde Le Grand, and DJ MAG’s four time #1 DJ in the world Armin van Buuren. Given that Michael has been writing, producing and performing original music since the age of fifteen, it’s safe to say that his musical prowess is impressive. In the past year, Michael S. signed his music to be released on the largest dance label in the world—Armin van Buuren’s Armada Music. During this time, his hit tracks “Say What You Will,” “Broke,” and “Rewind,” have been garnering him attention all over the world and made him a staple in the electronic dance music scene. His newest single “Rewind,” was just featured on Armada’s 2012 Ibiza Vocal Anthems. Even his recently released music videos for “Broke” and “Rewind” are taking YouTube by storm each garnering over 100,000 views in under a month of their release. Sharing the stage with the likes of Nadia Ali, Paul van Dyk, and Paul Oakenfold, Michael S. has performed numerous sold out shows including ones at the Congress Theater in Chicago, the Winter Music Conference 2012 in Miami, and most recently the main stage at Summerfest 2012 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. More recently, Michael S. signed on with Dance Paradise FM in Brazil to produce his own radio show, Saved By The Beat, which reaches an estimated 20 million listeners on 55 different FM stations and another 2 million listeners online. Not one to be complacent with his success, Michael S. has expanded his radio show to Mexico, Singapore, China, India, and the United States in his first month of broadcast. While his popularity continues to grow around the globe, Michael S. has started to focus more of his attention on the U.S., especially his hometown. This summer Michael S. is booked to perform a number of big shows at venues throughout Chicago including Wavefront Music Festival and North Coast Music Festival. While 2012 has already been a tremendous year for Michael S., expect only bigger and better things for the foreseeable future for this rising star.
