Wideley considered as one of EDM’s most promising rising duo’s, and known for their quality productions and attention to detail, Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman have had quite a breakout year in 2012.
Making their way into the Scene in the summer of 2011, with an arsenal of strong remixes of songs such as Mikael Weermets & Audible – Free [KKC/Kontor], Tove Styrke – Call my name [SONY], Dinka – Reach for me [PINKSTAR], and their own private glorious mix of Coldplay’s the Scientist. The duo soon caught the attention of EMI Music and by January of 2012 they were signed to EMI/Virgin. This led to their first own original release in Roll the Dice, a fast paced energy filled track that managed to get support and playtime from just about every big DJ on the planet. Focusing on the production part the duo followed up Roll the Dice with their next single on EMI/Virgin called Russia. A track that showed versatility and a more evil and harder side of their progressive sound.
Big EDM blogs such as Beatmyday.com and Dancingastronaut.com both had them in their top 5 of artists likely to break through in 2012, and so far everything is going according to the plan. After getting supported both in radio as well as live sets from dj’s like: Tiesto, Sebastian Ingrosso, Paul Oakenfold, Dada Life, AN21 & Max Vangeli, Arty, Andi Durrant, Eddie Halliwell, EDX, Swanky Tunes, Hard Rock Sofa, Matisse & Sadko, Thomas Gold, Chris Lake, and a lot of others.
