Lena Cullen is a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist working within Bass Culture. She worked with Maya Jane Coles as She Is Danger and has also performed with Engine-Earz Experiment at multiple gigs including at Glastonbury and Glade and featured on their song “Reach You” which she performed at the BBC’s Maida Vale. Lena’s also featured on Emalkay’s The “World” and Pyramid’s “Lost In You” and you can expect to hear Lena’s vocals on Drumsound & Basssline Smiths’, Loadstar’s and Caspa’s albums soon.

Her debut artist album which features productions from Subscape, Drumsound & Bassline Smith, Cutline, Loadstar and Delta Heavy amongst others is nearly finished and will be out in early 2013. Her track “When I See You” (produced by Subscape) from her new album has been a frequent song of choice in both Caspa’s and Subscape’s sets for the past couple of months.

Lena recently performed a selection of tracks from her new album live at Dub Police’s 4th Birthday at Fabric and received a great response from fans and industry peers alike. There’ll also be more gigs coming soon where Lena will continue to perform her new material.

With all this going on it’s no surprise that Lena has been singled out by many as one to watch!
