Stacey Kay is a gifted and versatile singer-songwriter whose new eponymous seven song EP will be released shortly via her development deal with Slaight Music. A first single, the tropically-flavoured "Island Girl" was co-written with Tino Zolfo, and for the EP's other tracks – which span pop, soul and balladry – she worked with producers Brett Rosenberg, Justin Forsley and Matthew Tishler. A native of Cambridge, ON, Stacey graduated from Sheridan College and is as comfortable on the improv comedy circuit as she is playing alongside such musical heavyweights as Jim Cuddy, David Usher, and Serena Ryder. Kay recently starred in a touring production of Godspell, and when she isn't busy writing and performing, the multi-talented artist can be found addressing high school and elementary students, encouraging them to feel good about their body image.
