Janne has used this name since she was eighteen to autograph her paintings. She came up with this name after struggling over a high school assignment about the Russian revolution (she delivered her work signed by Janne Schradinoviskiplavski). And when she finally found a place to live in the Czar Peterstraat in Amsterdam she decided the name had to stay. She swears by the thought that “almost everything has a reason.” And she still paints.
