Matt Lande's music is the interaction between what is wrong and right, making his colors vast and opposing yet relatable and fused. Influential visions of divine satisfaction being stolen away by earthly pain and vice versa are just a part of what makes up Matt's ethereal and powerful writing style. If you ask him what else ignites his passion for writing, producing and performing, he might tell you "past demons, love, suffering and often taking a journey through the eyes of others."

Matt Lande was the founder, lead vocalist, writer, guitarist and co-producer for the alternative band "Heaven Is Where" from Los Angeles, California. In 2009 HIW released "Stories From Yesterday," a thirteen track album, to fantastic reviews. The song “Walking With Ghosts” was a haunting single with an equally dramatic music video that quickly became popular among Matt’s global fan base. After touring, performing and writing new material for the following two years, Matt took a step back from full band life and connected with novelist Carol J. Hansen. He wrote and recorded a three song acoustic EP titled "DarkStar" which released in mid 2012. This EP supported Hansen's novel by the same name and gave birth to two music videos. The music video for the title track “DarkStar" was filmed on location within the amazing landscapes of Logan, Utah to reproduce story-lines from the book. While working on the music for “DarkStar”, Matt also recorded his full length acoustic album titled "Welcome Home The Child," which dropped on New Years Day 2013. It is a compilation of both unpublished and newer writings that Matt felt needed to be kept in a more raw form.

As of late, Matt has been keeping as busy as ever with the release of a new single titled "Sunshine" which he co-produced with Drummer/Producer Ryan Yerdon (Puddle Of Mudd, Ahmet & Dweezil Zappa, Gavin Rossdale). The song is a tribute to Matt’s Mom, and is popular with his fans. Most recently has come the release of a “Best Of” album and next on the agenda is to release a new song in hopes of raising money for cancer. This track is titled "Looking Down" and takes us through a first person journey of someone walking side by side with a loved one who is battling this terrible disease. As we head into 2014, expect a new alternative rock album from Matt with the edge, dynamics, beauty, substance and artistry so many have already come to know and love.
