Lesley B. has not only created a unique path for himself but a unique destination as well. Lesley B. is inspired by Motown legend Smokey Robinson and chart topping singer/songwriter Ne-Yo. “I am moved by the stories that Smokey Robinson and Ne-Yo are able to formulate through words in music. As a listener and reader you envision the story unfolding. You feel every beat that inspires each word and that is what I do.” says Lesley B. Lesley B. expresses himself by lyrically transforming words into a vision (as Lesley B. likes to call it), and transferring that into whatever genre of music his mind allows him to. At 9 years old Lesley B. made his first appearance on stage with a choir, but it was at age 10 that his life would change forever. Lesley B. was given the opportunity to perform solo at his first talent showcase where he electrified the crowd and took home the first place title. Thereafter, he segued into a Performing Arts Program for Music to sharpen his vocal ability and stage presence. The lessons he learned throughout the program opened up many exciting doors, such as appearing in Aventura Newspaper with Potamkin Honda, as well as appearing on South Florida’s entertainment network Deco Drive and WSVN, WBFS (My33), NBC nightly news, and season 1 of The X-Factor (USA).
