Only a handful of UK hip hop producers can match Endemic’s achievements & profile. Whether it is working with members from two of the greatest rap groups of all time [Wu Tang Clan & Boot Camp Clik], or signing and releasing albums with EMI Music & Duckdown records, Endemic is “one of the top producers the UK has produced in the last decade” [sbtv.com] This has now been set in stone by achieving th...e USA O-1 artist visa for “persons of extraordinary ability”
Endemic, now working in New York City prepares to drop his sophomore album “Terminal Illness part 2” on Oct 29th 2013, as the 1st release of a three album deal with IDC entertainment [California]. His influences, from the mid to late 90’s New York sounds, have inspired him to create classic soundscapes for the likes of Masta Killa, Cappadonna, Tragedy Khadafi, Roc Marciano, Sean Price, Ruste Juxx, Killah Priest, Ill Bill, Smif n Wesson, Hell Razah, Afu Ra, Blaq Poet, Sha Stimuli, Shabazz the Disciple, Sunz of Man, Torae, Skyzoo, Shyheim, LA the Darkman, Junior Reid, Planet Asia, PR Terrorist (Killarmy)……….the list goes on!
March 2009 saw the release of his debut album “Terminal Illness” - a producer set featuring emcees such as Sean Price, Planet Asia, Hell Razah, Killah Priest and UK based artists C Mone, M9, & Triple Darkness - the album was signed by Money Maker/EMI Music, making Endemic one of the few UK music acts to achieve major label distribution in the USA!
“Terminal Illness” was received very well by fans worldwide; Endemic received radio plays from the likes of DJ Premier, DJ Eclipse, Sarah Love (BBC Radio) and many more. Rave reviews followed from major publications and online sites across the world. Demic was flown out to New York by the label to undertake a promo tour for the album, performing in stores such as the legendary Fat Beats in Manhattan, and appearing on many big NYC radio stations such as the DJ Eclipse show on WNYU.
2009 continued to be a good year for Endemic; November saw the release (via Demic’s own label “No Cure Records”) of the EP “Needle Drop” – a collaboration with Nottingham Veteran Cappo. Endemic continued his hard east coast style of production on “Needle Drop” and provided Cappo with perfect backdrops for his heavy rhyming style. Guest spots included Nottingham legends Scorzayzee and Lee Ramsay and London’s talented Cyrus Malachi & Iron Braydz.
In June 2010, Demic inked an album deal with Duckdown Records, making Endemic the 1st UK hip hop artist to sign to this legendary NYC Label! The album was a collaborative set with Ruste Juxx – “Adamantine”- "I first linked up with Endemic three years ago when he asked me to be a feature on a project he was working on called “Terminal Illness”", says Ruste Juxx. "I was on three songs, one with Sean Price; later on we were going to put out an EP but we wound up knocking out a whole album - my hardcore rhyme style and his murderous production... IT'S ADAMANTINE!"
“Adamantine” featured Duckdown label mates General Steele of Smif N Wessun, Skyzoo, and Torae, as well as Ill Bill, Wordsmith, Supreme, and more, and hit stores on Sept 14 2010 via a Duckdown Records/Fat Beats distribution.
