Westminster, Maryland: the home of a few historical things that happened some time in the past, oh and of course a group of five young gentlemen that have taken the townsfolk by surprise. United in the summer of 2010 Out Cold started jamming under the name “Waiting to Exhale,” but after countless remarks linking them to the 1995 romantic movie under the same title, the boys decided it was time for a change.

Shortly thereafter they emerged with the name Out Cold and talk of a three-song demo. Early the following summer they recorded said demo with saved up cash and as a result they established quite a local fan base. After playing a countless number of shows Out Cold was preparing to start a new chapter.

Having built such a substantial following the band desired to hop back into the studio and record once again. Out Cold has just finished recording a five-song EP entitled ‘Gone But Not Forgotten,’ in which they are releasing independently as a testament to all their hard work over the last two years. With its razor-sharp leads, strong breakdowns, melodic choruses and masterful lyrics this EP is bound to make any listener ask for more.

On March third of this year Out Cold hosted their EP release show and have since had great success. “Playing shows is where they really shine, watching them perform is an experience all its own,” says an avid admirer, “I’ve been to each show and they have a ton of energy so keeping us [the crowd] involved and on our toes just seems to be natural for them.”

“Gone But Not Forgotten” is only the beginning of Out Cold’s accomplishments and good fortune. With their growing popularity and evolving talent, they are ready to make a name for themselves. “To sum it up,” says Nick, “we are a group of friends doing what we love and hoping other people love it too.”
