Alecia Watson, aka (Lady Ali), was born in Annatto Bay, St. Mary, Jamaica. She developed her musical style from listening to greats like Bob Marley, Beres Hammond, Marcia Griffits, Lady Saw, Tanya Stephens, Sanchez and many other talented musicians. She began exploring music at a younger age, and wrote her first song, ‘Schoolas’, with her group TASHELALI, at the age of eleven.
Alecia Watson, “KHAOTIK1STLADY”, a KHAOTIK Records recording artiste, was christened 'Lady Ali' in dancehall, a take on 'Alecia' and her hard-knocking deejay style, which has been compared to the braggadocio and flying fists of boxing great Muhammad Ali.

"They say I am the female version of Muhammad Ali," said Lady Ali who grew up in St Mary before migrating to the United States at age 12.
While at Mount Vernon High in New York, she got involved in the performing arts. At age 16, she began to dabble in dancehall music and later recorded her first single Glimmity Glammity, at Beatmania Production.
However, it was her second single, Buss Gun, which came to personify Lady Ali as a hardcore dancehall deejay. The single fast became an underground club hit in Mount Vernon, giving her the break to open for big-name dancehall artistes on tour.
After signing with Boardhouse Records, in November 2007, she recorded the hit single, ‘Hype All Yu Want’. Lady Ali writes most of her own lyrics, juggling her job as a certified assistant nurse with the rigorous demands of staying relevant in a dynamic, ever-changing dancehall market.
