International Dance Music Award Nominee for her track "Skyfire," Melissa Loretta is a small town girl from Georgina, Ontario and named after her Mother's favourite Country Music star, Loretta Lynn.

From an early age Melissa was immersed in the family's love for music taking Royal Conservatory Piano lessons for most of her childhood and reaching the grade eight conservatory piano level. During this time however Melissa decided to shift from classical music study to the art of songwriting. It was at the age of 12 that Melissa wrote her first song, started entering contests and eventually won some studio time for her songs.

Little did Melissa realize that in 2008 she would make the most important music connection of a lifetime. It was through MySpace that Los Angeles DJ/Producer/Recording Artist and now Melissa's Manager "Amurai" took the time to listen to her songs and offered to collaborate. This collaboration led to the birth of her first electronic dance track "Unconditional Love" which was instantly signed by Ferry Corsten's label Flashover Recordings and included on Corsten's compilation "Once Upon a Night."
