"Dream Feast" is about as apt a song name as you'll ever find for what Dog Bite does. The Atlanta four-piece specialized in glistening shoegaze made lush by Phil Jones' reverbed and droning vocals. It's decadent music that hangs in the atmosphere, shadowy at times and expansive at others. It also doesn't hurt that while the band was preparing their second album — the also well-named Tranquilizers, out January 21 on Carpark Records — their leader was on a serious soul kick, immersing himself in the legacies of Otis Redding and Isaac Hayes.
