Saskatoon songwriter, Troy Hudson, grew up in Ontario playing country music as part of a longstanding family tradition. After spending several years traveling across Canada busking and playing coffee shops, Troy moved to Saskatoon and began performing roots blues and folk music reflecting his interest in the darker, edgy aspects of life.
In his debut album Dirty Ghosts, Troy Hudson writes directly and honestly exposing some vulnerable truths that some might choose to leave buried. His tracks include his response to a modern-day cross-burning and a semi auto-biographical story of a preacher overcoming his dark past.
Troy Hudson is an accomplished singer/songwriter and performer who brings humour and intensity to his audiences. Troy is currently playing with a stellar line-up of musicians including classically trained bassist Dave Gross, and mulit-instrumentalist Liza Pearl Holder, formerly of Barley Wik. Don't miss him on his Western Canadian tour in early 2012.
"Troy's powerful vocals and great imagery make for an honest performance every time he graces the stage." Jennifer Louise Taylor (Victoria singer/songwriter)
