Lune (translated as ‘moon’ in French) is a music project fronted by Linnéa Martinsson. Rooted in the dance and performance world she started young, writing simple songs with two chords and simple, direct lyrics. Her sound ripened when creating music with Adrian Lux and Carl-Michael Herl?fsson, which resulted in movielike pop-melodies and lyrics about art, fighting, sport, love and sex. Soon Linnéa understood that she wanted ‘Lune’ to be more than a classic music-collaboration. With influences from many different arenas, Linnéa gets her inspiration from outdoor life as well as nightclubs and prefers to hang out in a crowd – she knew that she didn’t want to be a solo-show. More creative people got involved in the project along the road and Lune expands and shrinks with what’s needed for every project. The common thread of Lune is definitely Linnéa’s unique ethereal
voice, but the music can sound (and look) different from time to time, depending on if you listen to it on the radio, watch at a music video or experience it live. The song "Private Admission" was also featured in "Take One", the documentary about Swedish House Mafia. "Lune is not a regular house act but when I heard it I immediately knew that it was a project that I wanted to get involved in" says Sebastian Ingrosso (Swedish House Mafia), "It's a project that one shouldn't try to influence too much – it really has it's own unique qualities that shouldn't be tampered with", he continues.

“Music & Sports” was Lune’s debut album, which was recorded during a couple intense autumn months in a vicarage on the Swedish isle Gotland. Mixed by Carl-Michael Herl?fsson, Legendary Mike Marsh, who has worked with everyone from Massive Attack to Depeche Mode, mastered the album.
Lune has also collaborated with musicians and producers Alexis Weak, Sebastian Ingrosso and Tiesto, and helped write and delivered vocals on ‘Teenage Crime’ and ‘Fire’, both by Adrian Lux.

Leave The World Behind is Lune’s haunting reinterpretation of Swedish House Mafia’s 2009 hit. Delivering the sound from the Balearic Isles to the Norwegian fjords is a feat Lune achieves perfectly.
