For so many of today’s youth, they are forced to live in a world where they can’t simply express who they are, who they want to be, or the direction they plan to go into to get there. For so many, the “norms” of life force them into hiding where they are left feeling beaten down, bullied and downtrodden by society. For this unfortunate majority, the real person in them stays locked away behind a series of MASKS which inhibits them from enjoying the riches life provides. For Tulsa, Oklahoma’s Outline In Color, the time is now to let their heartfelt emotions out through their musical power. For Outline In Color, the time is now to shed their MASKS.

“It really seems that these days the bands that are just completely honest and real are starting to be the bands that have long lasting careers,” admits Outline In Color vocalist K.C. Simonsen. “It's really encouraging for a young band of dudes that genuinely love what we do to see the bands we admire not just for their music, but also their passion succeed.”

This honesty is easily identifiable in their music. With MASKS, Outline In Color have taken a more organic approach to their music than they did previously to create what most feel is their strongest work to date. it’s very clear that this new approach has given the band a great deal more depth and vision than they showcased on their previous release, JURY OF WOLVES. As Simonsen explains, this is caused by instituting a more honest approach to the new material. “This release is really honest,” Simonsen admits. “Not that JURY OF WOLVES wasn't, but this album doesn't spare any thing musically or lyrically. It's more raw and vulnerable. We literally pushed ourselves conceptually and physically to our limits on this one.”
