Tennessee based rock band WAKE THE LIGHT are living proof that good things do come to those who wait. Amidst a host of industry false starts, endless wood-shedding, tireless pursuit of writing and endless touring, the band has recently been signed to Dirtbag/ILG/Warner Music Group. The band's debut album "Leave It All Behind" is available now for purchase at iTunes.WAKE THE LIGHT vocalist T-Jay Tipps is no stranger to the industry, stage and studio. Despite being hand-picked to compete for the lead vocalist position in FUEL and was a Top 100 finalist in CBS' RockStar: INXS show, T-Jay decided to take the hard way and stick with his existing band, Wake the Light, as they worked on their debut album. Not selecting the easy way out, T-Jay, along with band mates Steve Augustyn, Eli Phipps, Matt Sharon and Ryan Hughes, chose to forge ahead working closely with producers Greg Archilla (Matchbox 20) and Travis Wyrick (10 Years) to record their debut album. "We spent so much time trying to be what everyone else expected us to be," says Tipps, "Deep down, we've always been a more melodic band, and I truly feel like this record has something for everyone."
