Poet & The Dreamer. The 12 track studio album will be released on 30th May 2011. The album was recorded in just 10 days at Ape Studios, Wirral. Using vintage equipment. A true labour of love, inspired by indie icons The Coral, work on Poet & The Dreamer first started back in 2008 and came to eventual fruition due to Neville\'s persistence and the belief and favour of the likes of Ian Brodie, Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller and music industry figures and producers who all saw the timeless appeal of the record. The album is the crystalisation of over two decades of writing and therefore, as you might expect, is varied, rich and melancholic - pedal steel guitars next to gently strummed acoustic guitars, capture a languid world-weary beauty. And above all of this, characterising these beautiful songs, sits Skelly\'s winter-dream of a voice. The band that accompanied Neville on the record was Scott Marmion (pedal steel, electric/acoustic guitar.) David Bob Picken (double bass/harmonica).The Coral\'s Ian Skelly (drums, guitar) who produced the album and In the last week of recording they were later joined by Paul Duffy, Nick Power, Lee Southall, Bill Ryder-Jones and Andy Wilson. The album includes songs written by Neville, James and Ian Skelly along with covers of songs by Dion, Jackson C. Frank Woody Guthrie and Phil Ochs.
