详细介绍

Ricardo Padua is a portuguese communication designer who has worked for music artists such as Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd) and Tom Barman (dEUS).

He was born July 5, 1978 in Porto, Portugal, and attended Gonçalves Zarco School. He studied Computer Science for Management at Universidade Portucalense, Porto, from 1998 through 2000 and graduated in Communication Design at Esad, Matosinhos, from 2001 through 2005. Pádua’s first important professional work was design several covers for Search-Megazine, a free monthly digest that navigates city culture. After that he designed several posters for the likes of the punk rock legends Peste & Sida, the indie rock Tom Barman (dEUS) and the psychedelic Honeybee among many others.

Since 2004 several works were developed with José Raeiro, which included conceptual design and quantum physics, science, brainstorming and research for new ideas, inovation and market opportunities.

From 2005 through 2007, Pádua was increasingly attracted to digital technology and developed several websites which included the brazilian Capitão Gancho Jazz Club, Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd’s and Roxy Music’s former bassist), and the Young European Scientist Meeting (for which he also designed all branding since it's beggining).

Although, his work includes graphic identity, exhibition design, television graphics, and literature design. He is also a well known design consultant.

In November 2006 Pádua has also been invited to design Portograal’s cover and postcards, a legendary poetry book from the portuguese poet Joaquim Fernando Fonseca.

Over the last years has been directing his design studio and working more in the branding and publicity industry, sometimes in partnership with graphic design and interactive media production companies.
