详细介绍

Foreverinmotion is Brendon Thomas, the one-man band and lyricist whose songs have only become more visceral and sweetly ironic over time. I'm as jaded as a church and holy as a liquor store sings Thomas on "Wanderer" from his new album Sunrise. His songs are at once jovial, honest, and spiritually tuned. Thomas is a scruff faced, kind eyed man in his late twenties who grew up in southern Vermont, and he now calls New York City home. Foreverinmotion is folk music at heart, upon which he expands with rock, country, and blues influences. His new album Sunrise is like a highway ride; a trip intro open spaces etched by Thomas' poetic imagery and penchant for freedom. "The sun had set on a lot of things in my life before I began writing this record; the end of a relationship, the parting with my label. There was a huge void that I could fill with newness. Themes of travel and soul searching are all over this thing. By the end of making the record, I was in an entirely new place. The sun had risen on a new day." MORE ABOUT FOREVERINMOTION Foreverinmotion hit the ground running in 2004 with the release of his self-titled album. After much unexpected internet success, he embarked on his first tour as "Foreverinmotion." In late 2006 he signed with indie label One Eleven Records, and released his 2nd album -- an experimental and epically hopeful work -- The Beautiful Unknown, the following spring. Thomas toured much of the year; occasionally with a band, but often on his own. His longest stretch was a 2 month span that crossed more than 25 states. "It was just my guitar, my van, and America. I built a bed in the back, snuck into truck stop showers and completely forgot what being home was like. I began to feel so in sync with the road." The hard work had its rewards, as The Beautiful Unknown landed in stores across the country and rounded up glowing reviews. The album accumulated over 500,000 internet plays within the year (his albums combined have tallied over 1,000,000 plays to date), as it charted in the CMJ top 200 and landed two #1 hits on independent Canadian radio. The video for his first single Hot Air Balloon [watch video] also received a good deal of attention, making the rotation on many indie music TV shows across the US, as well as On-Demand and reputable internet shows. Above all, the music brought him into contact with new fans who connected with the positivity and impact of Foreverinmotion's songs. After 2 years on the road, sharing stages with the likes of Ace Enders, Secondhand Serenade, and Cassino, Thomas took some time to regroup and consider the next album. With all the shifts in the music industry, it became clear he needed to adapt to the times. In the winter of 2009 he amicably parted ways with One Eleven Records. It wasn't long before he found himself a new home in New York City, and it was there he penned his latest and most focused record yet, the aforementioned Sunrise LP. A deluxe release of the album is due out on December 13 2011. Foreverinmotion was a finalist in the prestigious 2010 NYC Songcircle Songwriter's Contest for Pulling Away. He is continuing to tour and connect with fans.
