Derek Tyler Carter, more commonly known simply as Tyler Carter (born December 30, 1991) is an American musician from Atlanta, Georgia. He and Michael Bohn previously shared vocal duties in both A Path Less Traveled and Woe, Is Me. Both of them are currently in Issues. He has also been featured as a guest in a variety of songs by other artists.

Tyler Carter was born in Habersham County, Georgia. Carter was a musical child and played drums at a young age. He joined a praise band during his high school years. In high school, before being signed to Rise Records, he and his best friend Rachel Reece had planned out a career, and future, together as musicians. There was talk of management, as well as record deals. In October of 2008, Carter received a phone call saying that Rachel had been struck and killed by a drunk driver. Devastated, Carter decided then that he would give up music and pursue a career as a psychiatrist. While Tyler was filling out an application to Auburn University, he got a phone call regarding Rise Recordss interest towards his band, Woe, Is Me. In 2013, he came out as bisexual.
