After dropping out of Yale to audition for Season 2 of The Voice, Dez met disappointment when none of the coaches pushed their buttons during his blind audition. Rather than returning to Yale and the football team, Dez worked on his vocals and learned the guitar. Dez chose not to give up and made a triumphant return this season to land a spot on Team Christina. Dez now hopes to sideline the competition and win The Voice to prove he made the right choice. He draws his soulful R&B style from Elvis, Robin Thicke and Stevie Wonder.
