Carter Matthews (Simple As Surgery) was an American Pop Rock group that was formed in January of 2010. Since their formation the band has recorded and released 1 full length album, 2 Ep's, and a handful of singles. After graduating high school, The band started touring full time in late 2011 hitting the road with bands like; Every Avenue, We Are The In Crowd, Plug In Stereo, Go Radio and many others, and also sharing the stage at shows and with artists like Dev, Forever The Sickest Kids, and Wiz Khalifa. The band has seen mild commercial success with some of their music by gathering national air play on multiple college radio stations and having songs playing in large department stores such as Hollister Co. and Abercrombie & Fitch. As the new year started things began to shift gears for the band, as Carter Matthews the lead singer had started to take a more solo path and recorded a new 3 song EP in early February in New York City with producer Christian Medice, recording the songs he wrote himself called You Got Me Like (Whoa), Again, and Be With You Always. Shortly after the recording of the new EP, Carter and crew took the road once more supporting Honor Society on their latest U.S. tour and have just finished up that run. With a tenacious attitude and a fireball personality, Carter Matthews brings a spark to the industry that is sure to entertain on and off of the stage.
