Their namesakes was derived from David Byrne’s book cataloguing 21st Century sin. Rather an apt naming for The New Sins, a band known for vulcanising their individual love of 80's pop with modern dance music production. Returning from a small creative Hiatus The New Sins pre-released ‘Lights Down’ in late 2014, a club-pop banger with a sunshine lilt. On the dance floor ‘Lights Down’ shines as an efficient battle weapon for any self-respecting DJ. But as a stand alone piece of music it stands as a good example of The New Sins MO, and the creative melange that makes their unique sound. Released on Defected record in 2015 with remixes from Waze and Odyssey and Hot-Shot New-Kid DJ S.K.T. the release has scored fans in Annie Mac, B-Traits, Pete Tong and Skream amongst many others.
