Maylee Todd is fast establishing a worldwide reputation as one of Canada's most exciting young performers. With a quirky and charismatic stage presence, Maylee delivers an incredibly diverse repertoire of soulful indie-pop tunes -- often inspired by tropical grooves, featuring such obscure instruments as the Paraguayan harp & laced with both infectious humour and a performance art aesthetic.

In 2010, Maylee released her debut album “Choose Your Own Adventure” on the Do Right! Music label in Canada, and quickly became an artist to look out for. The album has received glowing reviews from the likes of NOW Magazine and the Globe and Mail. Its lead singles ‘Summer Sounds’ and ‘Aerobics In Space’ have been played internationally on J-Wave Tokyo, Gilles Peterson’s BBC Radio 1 London, and Radio Nova in Paris; ‘Aerobics in Space’ was featured on the limited edition Do Right Serato Pressing in June 2011 which quickly sold out.

Amongst the high-profile stages on which Maylee has performed include: MIDEM (Cannes, France), c/o pop (Cologne, Germany), Canadian Blast’s Canada Day Celebrations in London, England, The Evolve Festival ( Nova Scotia), Pop Montreal, and in her home city of Toronto at Harbourfront Centre. She has shared the stage with the likes of Janelle Monae, Aloe Blacc, Esthero, Little Dragon, and The Budos Band. In December 2011, Maylee will be performing a headline showcase at the Transmusicales Conference in Rennes, France.
