Julian Awari is the Youth and Young Adult Pastor for Faith Christian Church and International Outreach Center in Warrenton, VA where Dr. Decker H. Tapscott is the Founder and Senior Pastor. Before serving as a youth pastor at Faith, he lead worship for three years with their worship team. Pastor Julian’s testimony begins with a tumultuous past, with many disappointments, but a clear road leading straight to Christ. At the age of 5, Julian’s brother overheard him singing while performing his chores and encouraged him to sing which sparked a passion to be an R&B singer. Pastor Julian sung for a wide range of audiences, being an opening act for many major artists up to the age of 18. He’s been signed with R&B labels, but God closed those doors because he saw something in Julian. Something more than music. At the age of 19, before Pastor Julian signed his soul to the world for a major recording label, God signed his heart. Pastor Julian has since surrendered his life to the Lord and God has enlarged his territory. Recently, a door was provided for him to be one of the top 20 contestants for Season 5 BET’s Sunday Best. Julian has received many accolades, but he truly feels that the greatest blessings that God has given him is eternal life and his beautiful family: wife Masheka (whom both remained abstinent until marriage sharing their first kiss together at their wedding ceremony), son Asher, and daughter Sasha.
