Born in Salvador, Bahia post Tropicalia, the singer-songwriter Mariella Santiago has developed its own style. In his speech, the african-Brazilian musicality meets Jazz and R & B original form, also influences present in their songwriting work. His father, the singer-songwriter Messiah Santiago, went to her and the brothers an interest in music. Today the three played together in training that has accompanied Mariella in the last 10 years.
His first CD, Mariella, features a cast of outstanding shares, including those of Hermeto Pascoal, Carlinhos Brown, DJ Dolores and Geronimo, playing trombone in a jazz reading of samba-reggae I am Neg?o. Award Brasken Music, the album is the result of its partnership with guitarist Pascal Heranval. Of the 13 songs on the album, 10 are copyright. In 2010 he released the EP In everything that is singing, with 4 new songs, and in 2013 the single Ella, the title track of their upcoming CD.
