Davide Catania, was born in 1986 on a small island in the Mediterranean Sea, Malta. At the age of 6, he started attending piano and music theory lessons until the age of 15. A few years earlier he was already listening to electronic music. Just before high school, he had therefore started to experiment EDM production on Fruity Loops to understand the main concepts involved in creating EDM. Shortly after the summer of 2001, he started DJ'ing in several high school parties.

It was not however until 2006, that he took his production skills to another level after meeting Jo Micali at his studio. The summer of 2006, was a long hot summer for the two producers, where they would typically close themselves into a basement and produce music from the late evenings till the early hours of the morning. That summer had created a nice friendship between the two producers, and saw the two playing together in various events. They had managed to perform a live PA for a closing summer party in a local club in Malta called Numero Uno, and closed the year by performing a live PA with the famous vocalist Kirsty Hawkshaw.
