When Hailey was 3, she was singing to herself in the dentist’s chair while waiting for her exam. A woman popped her head around the partition and said she had a gift and that we should cultivate it. At 5, she started voice lessons and has never looked back. While her grade and middle school days were spent primarily with honor choirs and voice recitals, she was always making up little ditties and trying them out on her family on her homemade stage (with lights, curtains, and a runway!) with full costume and makeup. She played keyboard by ear when needed and her Dad accompanied her on guitar.
Fast forward to age 13…Hailey started at John Robert Powers Chicago for training in performing and modeling. She went to iPOP! L.A. in 8th grade and was awarded Top 10 Performer of the Year, made the singing finals, and won Top Ten Monologue in the Teen Girl Category (which had the most competitors.) She met music industry people and talent agents, receiving the most callbacks for Chicago. She started recording original music in 2008 and signed with LTA for acting & modeling in Chicago. She recorded songs she wrote as well as material that was hand-picked for her by producers. Hailey attended Young Actors Camp in L.A. that summer and was cast as the lead in their movie, “Slinging Mud.” Her song, “Drama,” was used in the film which debuted at the L.A. Acting on Film International Film Festival 2009. She has worked with four producers: Anthony Krizan/Sonic Boom Studios (of The Spin Doctors), Pete Masitti/West End Studios (producer for Hootie & the Blowfish, Enrique Iglesias; toured with The Rolling Stones & Shakira), Ryan Rossebo and Stuart Alan Love/Alice Enterprises (Manager of Pixie Lott, Sons of Admirals, Irene Cara), and Eddie Galan/Mach I Music (High School Musical album, Disney stars). Her songs have been used on American (Paula Abdul’s “Live to Dance”) British (“Hollyoaks” and “Life of Riley”)and Australian (Football channel) television. Most recently, her song “Single Life,” was first runner-up for the Garnier Hair Products new marketing campaign.
Hailey returned to acting camp in L.A. and began taking voice with Kathleen Riggs (of Seth Riggs’ Studio—Michael Jackson’s vocal coach) in 2009 and continues to work with Kathleen via Skype. She attended The Groundlings, Judy Carter Comedy, David Kagan’s Acting School, and Andrew Magarian acting classes. She continued to take private dance instruction in L.A. and Chicago. She has attended Second City, Bosco Productions voice-over training, Improv Playhouse, and The Acting Studio in Chicago. Throughout high school, she performed with Barrington High School’s choirs and Madrigal Singers. She sang at the White House Christmas party in 2010 and at the Pope’s Summer Palace in 2011. Hailey sang the National Anthem at numerous sports events at BHS. She gave a much-talked-about performance at her graduation in June when she sang her original song, “I Want to Dream,” in front of 5000+ people at Willow Creek Church.
Professionally, Hailey was a featured singer/dancer in T-Mobile’s “Home for the Holidays” commercial (December 2011), a lead in Google’s AdBlitz 2012 for their Super Bowl commercial promotion, a lead in an industrial film at Second City this spring, and will be shooting a Ford commercial this summer. She is a package model for Boyd’s Sporting Goods and told jokes on Jokeyphone, an internet comedy site.
In 2008, Hailey became the lead vocalist in her band, QuinnRowe. They perform throughout the year at local restaurants, country clubs, community events, destination weddings, private parties and numerous charity events.
Giving back is a huge part of Hailey’s mission. She has donated her time and talent for several years to the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, Hands of Hope Garden Faire, Barrington Area Special Voices, No Child Left Inside, and has been the entertainer at the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition’s (NOCC) Walk to Break the Silence in Chicago (2011, 2012). The NOCC is now using an original song written and performed by Hailey and her Dad on their website and in their promotional video. This was a result of so many people requesting the download at this year’s event after the live performance.
Music is Hailey's number 1 and she hopes to establish a lifelong career as a singer/songwriter. In addition to her music, she is passionate about fitness, healthy living, and her spirituality. She has been a Beachbody coach for two years, selling P90X, Shakeology, and video blogging about health. She is a nationally certified personal trainer and fitness instructor, working with mostly young people to make healthy lifestyle choices and workout wisely. Her hobbies are tennis, hanging out with her friends, and reading self-help books. Her guilty pleasures are watching movies,“Real Housewives,” Kathy Griffin, and tour videos of her favorite artists.
Hailey just graduated high school with High Honors. In August, she will start college in Los Angeles at Loyola Marymount University in the School of Business/ Entrepreneurship. She looks forward to having more opportunities for vocal performing and acting. She has worked very hard for many years and knows that this is only the beginning!
