Pretty Yende, OIS born 6 March 1985 is a South African soprano opera singer, from Piet Retief, Mpumalanga,he graduated cum laude from the South African College of Music a part of the University of Cape Town, located in the Rondebosch suburb of Cape Town, Western Cape. Yende also graduated from the Accademia Teatro alla Scala, in Milan, Italy.
