Don Micheal[spelling] Perez (born November 18, 1990), known by his stage name Myk Perez, is a Filipino recording artist. He is best known for participating in the first season of The Voice of the Philippines where he finished in fourth place. Before competing on The Voice, Perez was a freelance singer in Palawan.
Don Micheal Perez, nicknamed 'Myk' was born on November 18, 1990, was raised in Puerto Princessa, Palawan, Philippines. He is the son of Olive Viray Perez (died June 2010) and Amador Dizon Perez Jr.
Perez uncovered his passion in music since he was a growing up child by his mother's handling. He began singing since he was in secondary where he learns guitar.
After then, he decided to pursue and focus to be a singer-musician where he took up Conservatory of Music in University of Santo Tomas in Manila.
When he was in second year, his mother suffers a cancer that was the proportion of his discontinued course. He then back to Puerto Princessa behind his mother's death and took another course.
