Bostonian post-hardcore outfit Ice Nine Kills have released their new EP, Predator. It was not only voted by the fans to be Revolver’s Album of the Week, but also debuted at No. 15 on iTunes’ Rock chart. In keeping with the EP’s title, Revolver asked vocalist Spencer Charnas who the top five movie predators are.
In mid 2009, Schwartz decided to leave the band after struggling with life on the road, leaving Charnas as the only original member.[citation needed] Charnas then recruited former members of the Rochester NY based post-hardcore band Remember Tomorrow which had recently disbanded.[citation needed] This shifted Ice Nine Kills' sound into more of an experimental metalcore sound to which Ferret Music took notice and signed the band in the spring of 2009 and after their appearance on Warped Tour 2009 the band began writing and recording their next record
