Jon Neufeld (born 1983 or 1984) is a member of the Christian rock band Starfield. He does back-up vocals and plays electric guitar alongside his brother Tim, who is six years his senior. Jon and Tim Neufeld were the original members of the band. The band has had many members come and go for various reasons, and are currently using show-to show drummers and bass players for concerts.The name "Starfield" was adopted from Bruce Cockburn's 1976 song named "Lord of the Starfields". The band was started in 1998 when Jon and Tim led worship at their small church in Winnipeg. The band returned to Abbotsford after a few years of living in Nashville.

On their band's purpose, Jon says:

“You can get as abstract as you want in Christian music. There is a voice and a season for every kind of expression under the sun. You can be very fundamental or you can get off the beaten path, but there are a few subjects you can’t go wrong on, such as helping the poor and lifting up the name of Jesus. I think our last album encapsulated those two concepts very well. The Saving One is more internal. It is less about justice and more about being honest with ourselves and getting right before God.”
