Luisa Pepe, singer, dancer, and actress celebrates 12 years in the entertainment industry, and to mark this event, releasing a collection of her biggest dance hits entitled The Dance Collection – 12 hits 12 years as well as a brand new single entitled I'm Calling. This album features Can You Feel It, produced by MC Mario, a disco-house worldwide hit, Groovejet (If This Ain’t Love), which made the Top 5 across Canada. Also on this album, What A Feeling 2005, I Wanna be the One and for hard core fans, Get Up that started it all in 1995 leaving her mark in the dance world and creating a stir all the while escalading the charts. Licensed in several countries around the world, Luisa displays her talents as a singer/songwriter and proves her “no limits” attitude by presenting a series of shows alongside transvestites and dancers with high-octane sets and colourful costumes.
Born in Montréal of Italian origin, Luisa has been singing since the age of 14. Through the help of her father’s orchestra, she discovered a passion for music and decided to make a career as a singer. Throughout her studies, she brought home prizes for her creativity, originality and even for her talent as an actress.
Always showing the diversity of her talent, Luisa participated in the musical The Rocky Horror Show as Magenta, and just recently produced, directed and stared in her first theatrical production Primadonna: Confessions of an Italian Princess.
Her first studio album The Devilish Grin came in late 2002. Spending countless hours working with songwriters Vincent DeGiorgio (NSYNC, Love Inc., Kristine W) and Crystal Waters (“Gypsy Woman (She’s Homeless)” and “100% Pure Love”) alongside producer/songwriter Michael Abatzidis (Jacynthe, Fruit de la Passion). She reached the top 25 pop adult charts as well as the top 50 Anglophone charts with I Wanna Be the One and swirled into controversy with the making of the video that was shot in a psychiatric institute.
For her second album, this beautiful Italo-Canadian went back to her roots and offered her fans an album entirely in Italian, entitled Farfalla (butterfly). Sharing the richness of her culture by re-recording 10 of the most beautiful songs of the Italian pop musical repertoire, done her way, such as Ti amo, Gloria, Volare, A far l’amore comincia tu, L’Italiano, as well as several other great songs taking you back through time.
