详细介绍

Stealing Sheep are a Liverpool based band that were Introduced by BBC 6 Music at the beginning of 2010 by Lauren Laverne, Marc Riley & Tom Robinson. After making Beatles news in August this year (when the Echo reported sir Paul to back the group) they've been riding a wave of success with two EP releases and a tour of the UK/Berlin and summer festivals.
Becky formed the band in 2008 and made the first two stealing sheep records with a Canadian accordion player and Norwegian glockenspiel player called Megan and Gunhild. This gave their early music a gentle nu-folk vibe and they received a mass of great reviews from their Red Deer Club release 'What if the Lights Went out' including Song of the Day by THE LINE OF BEST FIT and reviews by XYZ Magazine, CLICK Music, BEST OF MYSPACE, High Voltage, BBC News, The Echo and CMU Daily.
In 2010 Becky began working with a drummer and Electric guitarist from Liverpool called Emily & Lucy, (from local bands Emily & the Faves and The Long Finger Bandits) this change in instrumentation and creative ideas has seen the band evolve towards the psychedelic, 60's pop genres and their new record (recorded in an abandoned school in Liverpool) whispers a darker and more sultry atmosphere. They are currently on tour with this new lineup supporting the likes of lf Arnalds (one little Indian) Mice Parade (Fat Cat) Silje Nes (Fat Cat) Gabby Young & Other animals and Peter Lowrie (Island).
A recent live review of Stealing Sheep at IN THE CITY (Manchester) says \"Stealing Sheep capture that same magical folk essence as Blue Roses and First Aid Kit, producing a beautifully enchanting sound. Almost like the sound of falling in love...\" FADED GLAMOUR
