They have been nearly 10 years since the appearance of The Abayarde , an album that revolutionized rap and reggaeton and with which its author , Tego Calderon , became a musical legend to use his art to denounce poverty , social injustice and racism.

Born in Santurce , on February 1, 1972 , Tegui Calderón Rosario , as it was known , grew up in Rio Grande and studied at the Escuela Libre de Musica in Hato Rey encouraged by his father Don Esteban Calderon Ilarraza . The training acquired in the performance of percussion instruments led him to explore his talent as a drummer for the rock group Skulker , this being his first artistic experience.
