Freddie Stroma (born January 8, 1987) is an English actor and model, best known for playing Cormac McLaggen in the Harry Potter film series.
Freddie Stroma was born, Frederick Sjostrom, in London, England on 8 January 1987. Although he was born in London, he was educated at the boys-only boarding school Radley College and was the middle child of three with an older sister and a younger brother. Whilst undertaking a degree in Neuroscience at University College London, Freddie's film and modeling career began to flourish, leading him to take a break from his academic studies so that he could appear as Cormac McLaggen in the film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Following filming, Stroma returned to University College London to complete his degree, claiming that it, "would h**e been a shame to just throw it away." He attained a second class degree.
